The Insider: Colette Cooney on filming from danger zones, telling stories and the ethics of youtube

Colette Cooney is a former tv journalist and is now a visiting lecturer at City University. In this interview, she touches on a whole number of issues regarding video journalism such as the ethics of youtube, reporting from conflict zones and the increasing breakdown of boundaries between different fields of journalism.

Like George Brock, she is very positive about the future of video journalism but notes that technology can never be a stand in for the old journalistic tricks of knowing the story and how to convey that story in pictures.
